Studenthuvudstaden – Stockholm Student City

Stockholm is a world city of universities. With tens of thousands of students from all over Sweden, Europe and around the world, Stockholm is truly a student city—although not often thought of as such.

Unlike traditional university towns like Uppsala or Cambridge, Stockholm’s universities are often of a specialized or vocational nature, such as KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) or Karolinska Institutet (medicine). The student scene is therefore quite fragmented, with student life and networks taking place independently in these separate institutions.

The aim of Studenthuvudstaden—Stockholm Student City is to connect these places and people together; to build a platform for town and gown to meet and connect, to build a metropolis with a vibrant student culture that we can all be proud of.
